    God of War Wins Game of the Year at the 8th Annual New York Videogame Awards, RDR2 Wins Best World and Writing



    The New York Videogame Critics Circle has finally revealed, the winners of this year’s Videogame Awards at the SVA Theatre in New York City.


    The fantastic mythology-based action-adventure game franchise God of War won the Big Apple Award for Best Game of the Year, while RDR2 and Tetris Effect received two awards each. Red Dead Redemption 2 won the Statue of Liberty Award for Best World and the Herman Melville Award for Best Writing, while Tetris Effect won the Coney Island Dreamland Award for Best Virtual Reality and the Tin Pan Alley Award for Best Music, other games such as Dead Cells received the top prize for Best Indie Game, Super Smash Bros.     • Off Broadway Award for Best Indie Game: Dead Cells
    • Freedom Tower Award for Best Remake: Shadow of the Colossus
    • Great White Way Award for Best Acting in a Game: Christopher Judge as Kratos in God of War
